How do you slim down your legs??!

Post by Bigdreamer4lf »

Hey There!
I do a lot of boxing and unfortunately I got bulgy looking calves from it...but anyway, looking to slim down thighs and just get leaner looking womanly legs instead of tree trunks lol! Thx :)

Running is probably your best exercise for this.

Any exercise that has high resistance and few reps will generally build up muscle mass.

Exercises that have low resistance and lots and lots of reps will generally reduce the mass.

You will have to run a good distance 3 or 4 times a day to achieve this.

Take a good look at runners. Sprinters will generally have very powerful looking and massive thighs. Marathoners will generally have thinner thighs.

Ballet classes will also help you achieve this look. (Have you ever seen a ballerina with bad legs?) Ballet work will also give you a terrific torso.

I've known people who have wanted to lose muscle mass. I knew a high school and college field hockey player (woman) whose thighs had grown quite large and muscular and she wanted longer looking and leaner legs (more suitable for fashionable clothing).

Bicycle riding will also develop powerful and thick thighs (but hardly any calf development), and an avid bicycle rider might want to keep the thighs from growing larger for the same aesthetic reasons.

At one time I was body building and I had built up biceps and forearms so much that I could no longer button top two buttons on dress shirts. I gave up the body building and returned to strength training to reduce arm size and make them functional again.

So gaining muscle mass is usually the goal in training but it is not always the goal in traing.
