Capoeira rutine I need advice

Post by arapituka »

I´m a Capoeira aprendice for 2 years now, and I think I´m a little blocked with rutine, mestre (teather) move out from town and I can´t find anyone else.
Anyone please could help me out, I don´t know... tips, masters anything...
I´m afraid I wont find a workout rutine that I love as much as Capoeira, and stop working out, you know I´m a little weak minded, and I get bored really quickly.

Please Help

Sorry to say I don't even know what Capoeira is. I wish you luck though.

Cheers

Capoeira is a combination of Dance and Martial Arts originating from Brazil.

The actions are meant to mimic M A, but in a non-contact way, and coupled with dance to make it all rhythmical.

Unfortunately, I know very little else about it.

Ah, I think I know what you are talking about. A movie called "Only the Strong" focused on this style of training.

cheers

There is a Capoeira Association (Google: Capoeira Association).

There is also a Capoeira Forum and you might query there:

http://www.capoeirista.com/forums.html

If that all fails, Tae Kwan Do has both sparring and forms. The forms are a ritualized sequence of precisely performed movements and you might find that to be a satisfactory substitute.

Check with various schools. Some minimize the forms and spend most of the effort on sparring.

Hey,
First at all, thank you Packard for your advice and info, But I´m sad to say that I did´t find that much of inspiration in the capoeira forum. I think I know that I need, and that is, a Mestre who could teach me and correct me. I´m a little off because in town is no group of Capoeira, What a pity!
I will start looking into ... I don´t know yet...
