turkey and chicken breast slices enough protein?

Post by RK19 »

quick question, im in the middle of drawing up a new weekly meal plan i was jst wondering if turkey or chicken breast slices on seeded bread with a handfull of veg on the side would be a sufficent snack as one of 6 meals a day? i dnt know if if theres enough protein in slices or if it would have to be proper portions of chicken/turkey??? cheers

Sure, you could od that. As for the Turkey and Chicken, shouldn't be a problem at all to make a sandwhich, if you're concerned about the Protein content, try a bit of Low Fat Cheese.

Or why not try this as a snack option.

Get those big mushrooms, the ones that have about a 2" diameter, put Low Fat Cheese on 4 of them, and then grill them.

You're then getting a bit of Healthy Fat Protein, Carbs, and also Protein and Carbs in Mushrooms, as Mushrooms have roughly 50 / 50 Protein / Carbs.

If you think it's a bit lacking, then add some Baked Beans as a side thing, and then you're good to go.

tuna sandwiches, grilled fish, steak, chicken, turkey, handfull of nuts, cottage cheese (low fat), cheese, lentils, PB on toast, etc.

all great for protein.

try the diet and nutrition sticky (read this before posting) and there is a spot in here that you can find recipes as well. And all sorts of other places on the net you can find them. Many of them now offer a serving nutritional chart with them.
