Would like to hear from folks in age group but am willing to listen to everyone ...of course.
I also would like to stay away from Red Meat, and Dairy (except whey protein) Have been lifting and eating really well, but I've plateaued...
So I'm looking for something that will stimulate metabolism, and help me continue gaining but at the same time cut...I know it's possible to do.
I'm new here so thanks a bunch.
PS.. I weigh 195, am 5'11 and tend to put chub on and chest ...YUK!

It's been a very basic, 6 meals a day starting at 7:00am with a last protein shake a 10:00pmvamp wrote:so what is your diet and workout regimen like currently and how long have you been doing it?
5 eggwhittes
1 piece of ww toast dry
multi vit
6oz chicken breast
5 oz yams/red potato/spelt pasta salad (one of them of course)
leafy greens (one cup)
some almonds
Potein shake (ON Gold standard)
Pre shake,
creatine,
25gm whey pro
a little Pomogranite juice
(4oz)
lift
Post shake, same
Chicken again,
Potato again
2 cups greens
last shake (casein)
works out to about 2800 calories
also about 1.5 - 2 gallons of spring water
Diet looks ok although would prefer more solid protein than shake protein (only really needed after workout and perhaps before sleep).
Your second meal you may want to switch to whole grain pastas, brown rices, multi grain breads. They digest slower giving a more steady fuel for your body, less sugar boosts from the starches, and contain more nutrients and less empty calories.
Overall, your plateau may be more based on how long you've been doing your current routine. What do you do in the gym each day? When are your rest cycles? Cardio cycles?
Cheers
