I need some information.

Post by Hawksicken »

Well I'll start by introducing myself. I am 15 years old and i weigh 276 lbs. About a week ago i started using a stationary bike and started a diet to help me lose weight. I use it every day for 30 minutes and I've burned on average 165 calories a day. That averages to 990 calories a week which is 3500 calories in 3.5 weeks. Does this mean i will be losing a pound every 3.5 weeks, or will i lose weight faster since i am eating healthy and watching how many calories i eat a day?

Its great that you set yourself a goal and researching towards it. I recommend front, side and back bathing suit photos for reference and tape measurements of your body (areas to measure can be found in tracking area of the site) Weight, although a means of measurement is the most frustrating of measurements because you could add 5 lbs of muscle and loose 5 lbs of fat and the scale with not tell you differently, you still way the same. Changing you shape however will show on tape measure and in pictures so its easier to stay motivated from seeing your successes!

Cheers

1 - don't diet, simply eay better foods

2 - calorei counters are never right so make sure YOURSELF that you are working hard and the wt will drop

3 - search "your body is a barbell by alwyn cosgrove" for resistance training...it will work better than cardio alone
