whats the benefits of fish oil....there are some people who have told me that fish oil may trigger weight gain..is this true?
i have fish oil tabs everyday for arthiritis

wt gain from fish oil? those people are complete dicks...search "fish oil poliquin" and "fish oil cressey" on google and you'll get 50 pages of stuff...then give it to them

Fish Oil like many Fats, (Coconut Oil being a possible exception), has Fat storage possiblities, but unless you eat Fish Oil in a meal with lots of Calories, then you won't get Fat off it.

Only with very high calorie meals can that happen, when excess calories convert to Fat.

Fish Oil cannot cause noteworthy Fat gains, and certainly not in a well controlled daily caloric environment.

thanks for the answers all........now i have a proof to shut some peoples mouth,......lolz
sometimes i cant beleive that we really have verryyy wrong view towards nutrition.....and less knowledge as well

How much fish oil is recomended when someone just starts taking it? I heard to start with 2g per day then up it to 3g after a week or so... is that ok? I eat NO fish and have mild psoriasis - heard the fish oil pills would help.

1 - start at 2 and work up...i have 9 - 12 a day, just take some out of the bag and have them
2 - eat fish
