I've consulted the owner of the gym of which I go to, and he says that it's recommended, etc. etc., but the ultimate choice is up to me as he said.
From what he told me, Glutamine is what our bodies produce to repair and build muscle. If the body does not produce enough of this, our bodies do not build muscle mass. I may have misinterpreted what he said to me, but that is what I remember. I could also tell he was trying to simplify it to me as much as possible.
So in conclusion..I'd like some more feedback from others on this supplement.
What is Glutamine?
How is it properly consumed?
Would any of the members here recommend it?
What are the benefits, what are the risks/consequences?
Is it a better supplement than Creatine?
Glutamine

Re: Glutamine
I don't really know exactly what it is ( I know it's a fundamental animo acid present at a large % in our muscles). 5g beofre, 5g after workout and 5g before bed. I recommended it if you can see the difference in your sleep after one week maximum. Benefits : Better sleep, Enhanced Recovery, Improve Immune Function and for the risk : None, even if you take 1000g a day, you will just shit more.Snail wrote:I've consulted the owner of the gym of which I go to, and he says that it's recommended, etc. etc., but the ultimate choice is up to me as he said.

You think creatine is a REALLY GOOD supplement ? Eat meat and have a solid diet before even thinking about it.
Personally for creatine, I'M over 180lbs, I'm a men and I don't eat that much red meat and when I was using creatine (Over 6 months) Didn't notice ANYTHING only normal progression ... Not even some stomach sickness lol ... So keep your money, there is some chances that the results you get are just normal and you boost yourself mentally only at the idea of thinking you took creatine this time.
For glutamine, I personally use it because body respond really well to it, noticeable easily when comes time to sleep.
Glutamine is an Amino Acid that boosts, Immune function, Synthesises Proteins, (useful for muscle building), and aids sleep.
It is a Neurotransmitter, hence the possible sleep benefits, as Neurotransmitters interact with the Brain.
It is a good product, with virtually no side effects that I've ever seen, but for caution sake, never go above 20g a day split doses, most people don't.
You can take 5-10g after workouts, 5-10 before bed, and 5 when you wake, but with that method, make sure you're not exceeding 20g, so if needs be, if you do the morning scoop, have 5g before bed, if you don't, then you could go with 5 or 10, but I wouldn't go above 20g, as you don't really need to.
