anyone tell me if this is ok?

Post by WRXguy »

well i wake up at 6 workout (drinking water throughout) then i get done about 7-7:10. then i drink one scoop of whey with carnation instant breakfast. then at about 11 ill have a medium plate of food (usually a vegatable and lean meat). then at like 3 ill have a protein shake. at about 6 ill have dinner (tuna or chicken) and then at 9 ill have another protein shake. should this be ok instead of having actual solid food. if not, point me in the right direction. thanks

at about 11 ill have a medium plate of food (usually a vegatable and lean meat). (That seems fine.)

at like 3 ill have a protein shake. (Add more solid Carbs in if you do this, (many shakes have sod all liquid Carb, unless they are specifically formulated with added Carbs), or switch to a solid Protein food source, with the solid Carbs.)

at about 6 ill have dinner (tuna or chicken) (No you need Carbs in here. Veggies, and sometimes things like Rice sources, or also Legumes are okay, but remember, Rice and Legumes, have a pretty good, (though variable from source to source), Amino Acid content, so factor that in if you eat them sometimes, so you don't over do it on Protein.)

then at 9 ill have another protein shake. should this be ok instead of having actual solid food. if not, point me in the right direction. thanks. (Same advice as the afternoon shake. If there's no Carbs add solid Carbs, or sub shake for solid food with solid Carbs.)

I'm not wholely against the shake dosing you're doing, provided the Carbs are added in from solid food, though solid food Protein sources instead of shakes, would be a little more beneficial, (after workouts excluded.)

- eat before training...always...fruit and 1/2 protein shake
- you should be hungry again about 60mins after post training meal so have meat and salad/veg
- mid afternoon have meat and veg/salad...eat calories, don't drink them
- same for before bed
