40 yrs old, trying to get groove back.
5"8" 170lb typical spare tire (goal is to loose the tire).
Day 1-
AM 30 min cardio, sprints on treadmill.
PM Full body strength train
Dead lifts, good mornings, pull up, bench press, step ups etc.
Day 2
AM 45 min heavy bag work.
PM Large muscle group, chest, back or legs.
Day 3
same as day 1
Day 4
Rest
Start cycle all over again, alternating large muscle group on day 2.
Is this too much, I am using as much weight as I can to do the exersizes correctly, do I need more rest or will this work?

- you don't need 2 sessions a day, 1 is enough if your training hard enough
- i'd probaby have you rest after the 2nd wts workout like this
mon - wts
tue - cardio and/or bag
wed - wts
thu - off
fri - wts
sat - bag and/or bag
sun - cardio or off
Start cycle all over again, alternating large muscle group on day 2.
