night food questions

Post by Paulwall519 »

1. i decided to make post workout meal dinner which contains chicken, potatoes, and beans with some hot sauce. i was wondering if this was a good idea...i have this at about 600-630

2. i was then wondering what to eat after that...i was thinking at about 800-830 id have a nectarine and or plum then 1000-1030 a grapefruit and 1130-1200 a soy protein drink with 1 cup of milk then bed right away. the other alternative i was thinking was to have the nectarine at the normal time then the plum when i would have the grapefruit and the grapefruit instead of the soy protein shake and skip that semi high caloric meal of ~280calories

let me know what you think is the best option for weight loss and lean muscle gain assuming rest of diet is good and exercise is too. thanks

- you can spuds if it's within 90mins of finidhing training, if not cut them out
- no fruit in the evening, it's energy and energy not used stores as fat
- just have another solid protein and veg meal before bed, easy...sjakes actually stimulate insulin release so you don't really want one by itself at night

ok fine but just to clear things up
1. grapefruits arent good to have before bed?? i always thought that it was a good substitute for an acutual meal that close to sleep

2. i also wanted to find out whether i should have a soy protein shake later in the day if i already had a whey protein shake after workout or is it ok to use it again? this is just until i can get casein at the begining of april.

- nothing is good as a meal replacement...don't replace meals, eat them
- one shake a day is all you need....i'd rather you concentraie on getting solid protein with every meal rather than worrying about when your cesain is coming in

i have a weakness for brownies so i recently decided to buy those 100 calorie packs and i was wondering if it really affected weight loss if i chose to have a pack with a cup of skim milk before bed because i kind of treat it as a mini dessert. if its not when is it a better time to have it.

i wouldn't have them at all but if you really need to have them after training...don't replace anything to post training meal, have it with it but last
