'lose' their breasts due to strength-training? ALL the women I know become flat chested, or justa about, once their muscle mass increases. I experienced the same thing a few years back...I've filled out some and wish I could keep them, even when I am toned and fitter.
What are your views?
it's probaby a case of balancing out weight loss and your body structure...boobs are fat so if you're losing wt then you will lose from there no doubt...slow fat loss may give the body a chance to oxidise fat from other area although i'm only speculating there...if you gain bust when you put on wt then you'll definately lose from there
I'm curious as to why this upsets Swanso. I'm guessing he's referring to very muscley women who appear to have Pecs.
Anyhoo that's not meant as a slight.
As for what's been discussed, yes it's true. Fat loss will decrease bust size, there's little way round it. Genetics may play a part in what reductions occur. Some may lose more than others, so conceivably a 5ft 4" 100lb woman, could have slightly larger breasts, than someone of the same height and weight, but that's a supposition, not really something I've looked into in any depth.
Strength training can accentuate the breast area to some extent, but this realistically won't give women a plump mammary area, when they're 110lb's ripped, so the only way around that in most cases is surgery.
I personally don't reccommend surgery for that, however I can't totally condem that, as I am on good terms with one or two people elsewhere on the web, who have had it done, but I don't like how the fitness industry is proliferated with people who have them done, they're mostly too big, and often I feel it's potentially for poor reasons, and it ruins an athletes look.
It's bad when you see pictures of BB women, with 14" Arms, sporting what look like a couple of Danish Pastries, because their surgery involved implants that I feel were too big, and needn't have been.
I've heard stuff about people having them, because they dieted down to a 3-6% bf mark for a few comps, and the Breast area came back in an inconsistent way, or didn't look quite right when the Fat was added back, to become a healthy condition again.
However I don't necessarily think that's a legit reason, it could be a bogus one to excuse unnecessary implants.
If it is a legit reason for some, then fair enough, but again, I'd say surely smaller implants are the way to go, and for people who could be rolemodels, and could inspire obese teenage girls, to want to be more athletic, and not unhealthy levels of thin, big implants send out a wrong message I feel. Small ones okay, but big ones no.
overall opinion, women shouldn't get them, but if they feel they must, go small.
Though yes Fat loss definitely contributes to breast reduction, but for some it may be genetics that governs how much.

Bossman, thanks.....I'm too much of a scardy cat to get breast implants....
I'm looking at some pics from former years, and i dont see much boobage, so it looks like i'm in for more of the same. Oh well, I guess its either boobs AND flab, or small boobs and a nice bod. I'm leaning toward the latter
