Hamstring Injury

Post by Matty1 »

I pulled hamstring playing football last week.

It was only a slight pull, don't think it was a tear at all.

What is the best way to treat and recover. Want to try and make sure I am fit for the weekend. Have been restingit and is feeling better but I can't stretch it fully yet.

Should I keep resting it or start working it sligtly?

I'd avoid working it, except for basic stuff like walking.

You may also be wise to consult a doctor, about any further action you may need to take.

you'll need at least 2 weeks off to be sure and you'll need to really test in game like conditions before a real game....you're not used to the team if you play 2mins and do it again...it may seem tough to come back quickly but really it's just dumb and hamstrings are the biggest repeat injuires around
