gain size plus tone...broken arm

Post by conman16 »

Hey havent posted in a while, I've been working out on and off for the past 2 years. Pretty steady for the last six months. The results haven't been extreme and I am still looking to gain a little more size and be very toned... I am 17 . 5"8". 150 lbs.. I am looking to gain more mass as well as get abs more defined. I've been using a routine where I workout a major muscle group each day and switch between two excersizes doing around 10 reps of 6 or 7 sets (including a burn set). Any suggestions on a more improved workout routine? Another question is that I broke arm and I cannot workout for another month (so far I have been working legs and abs plus cardio.) Any tips and input would be great.. thanks everyone.

10 reps of 6-7 sets? Your weights are far too light. Try heavier weights with 8-10 reps and 3 sets. Also without knowing what your routine is that you mentioned it's hard to tell you where you should make changes.

keep training the uninjured side with single arm bench presses, shoulder presses, db rows etc but heavy and for no more than 6 reps...this will strengthen the other side as well woithout even training it

Hey Swanso..thanks for the help im all healed
I worked out one side like you said, it was tough but worked for me. thanks. On to a new topic, I want to get really defined strong core ( six pack abs). I know diet needs to be clean, I need to do cardio, and involve weight training. Do you have any ideas for me, being 18, to achieve this in short time. This is main fitness goal and I am willing to work hard to achieve it.
