LA Fitness

Post by msjwmama »

I am going to check out LA Fitness tonight after work. coworkers have memberships for the last 3 months or so and are encouraging me to join. Today they are offering "special" last year rates without a initiation fee and say you can cancel anytime. I have read some comments online about horror cancellation stories but every gym has someone who will have issues. Has anybody been a member and canceled without issue?

All signed up and hoping for the best.
I am now officially starting journey to a svelt body before September, 40th birthday.
I have done everything from the dreaded cabbage soup diet(actually worked but could never do it again) to the Fit for Life program(limited results-self to blame). plan is to workout on reg basis and eat clean, increasing protein intake.
I know most posts I have read here are hard core body builders but I think I can take some good information from here anyway. I welcome any and all advice that anybody would like to share.

Well you'd be surprised.

Some of the stuff posted round here, a lot it where diet is concerned, is pretty much based on similar basic principles. You just need to bump up the cals a bit, lower them, or switch a few macros around, depending on the persons needs, and then when you have a basic formula, you can make finer tweaks, depending on if the person has an eating condition, possible low Iron count, low Calcium etc etc.

A diet for any purpose can seem daunting, but once you nail a few basics, you can get started on the finer points, and get some basic progress.

So don't worry about what you think we can offer. Anyone who is willing to respect the community here, will get whatever help we can give :).

i couldn't be further away from being a bodybuilder...principles are few, methods are many..the point is 80% of your results will come from the 20% of the basics you put in (clean eating, deadlifts, sprints etc)
