Does weightlifting makes you stop growing?

If you lift weights at the age of 13, will you stop growing?

probably not but it's always better to start off with bodyweight exercises anyweay so you're stronger once you start wts

when i was 13 going on 14 i could do 10 reps with 20 kg dumbbells once on each arm :lol: i was 5.1 ft then now im 15 and only 5.5ft but ive got a family with small people in, so it could of just been genetics :shock:

I think that for heights, genetics and maybe nutrition will affect your growth ... much more than training

nutrition as a youngster can and genetics definately but training, no way

Are you sure that wasn't lb's not kg's?
