Eating?
Eating right before Strength Training. Good or bad?
Not bad, just perhaps not optimal.
You might be better to have something at least 30 minutes before, so it gets time to digest.
A small amount of Protein and some Carbs should do the trick, and preferably some Complex Carbs insead of say Fruit Carbs, so you might protect Muscle Glycogen levels from depleting as fast, if you do that.

I prefer to train on coffee alone. This has worked best for me.
I make sure to eat immediately after the workout, quality protein
and moderate level of good carbs.
I have to tried to eat lite before training but I feel lethargic and not
as motivated. The burst of caffeine gives me what I need to get
the job done.
I train early so it's also hard to eat anything at 5:30-6 in the morning.
