hey guys i am working on getting a six-pac i am cycling to school which is 4 miles and doing a lot of various sit-ups and eating turkey alot and progress isnt alot i have been doing this for a while now. anyone know what i am doing wrong.
cheers tom
a 6 pack won't come from endless cardio and crunches...you need full body movements to build muscle and burn fat...building muscle increases metabolism which in turn burns fat while you sleep if elevated enough...bodyweight stuff should be your starting point with squats, push ups, burpee's and even bear crawls are good for distance...sled dragging or tyre flipping are even better cardio / endurance type choices for distance or time...a simple diet plan to follow is 2 meals of protein and fruit followed by 2 meals of protein and veg and 2 meals of protein and healthy fats with as much water as you can handle and then a little more
Also note that heredity plays a big part. Some people can do all the "right" things and never attain that definition while others can get the six pack. You could be doing nothing wrong.
a ggod food plan is dependant on the foods you like to eat... adiet usually consists of non desireable foods that you get sick of and then it doesn't work...i eat the same thing everyday basically and if you can do that your set...that being said 2 meals of protein and fruit, then 2 x protein and veg, then 2 x protein and healthy fats with salad is the simplest plan i could give...just insert your favourite foods of each into the meals and your off
hey people. 1st day here today.. found this site v useful and need to collect some useful info about abs.. so please Professionals help me out.. im 21 , 5'6 . 58 KGs .. doing weight lifting in the gym and muscle is growing for sure.. but ABS is left behind. i have a FLAT tummy.. cannot find any layer of FAT on tummy if i try to hold it.. so its all flat.. which ex are the best to unveil the 6 pac. or to grow them bigger.. the muscles u know.. please guide me . Thanks alot !
abs are like any other muscles so you need to either do weighted versions of crunches or choose a variation difficult enough for 8 - 12 reps to build them up...one of the best one's i've done is to perform L Sits where you have your hands on the ground next to your hips and your legs straight out in front of you and you lift your body off the ground and hold...you'll probably be weak as a baby for starters but do them every 2nd day doing as many sets untill you done 60 seconds worth of holds gradually increasing your max hold until at a minute straight
So for the L sit legs straight out??? I can do somewhat with legs crossed by its physically impossible for me to even get compeltely off the ground with them stright... Is it more about flexibility than strength with that one?
you might be tight in the quads and hip flexors which will make it harder but it's mostly lower ab strength...start off with legs crossed and gradually straighten out your legs...if you have access to a dip machine than do the same in a top dip position and raise legs (bent than gradually straight) out and hold
hey !
fireMyst said Dragon Flags is the best .. doesnt matter how difficult it is.. guys can you please explain me what dragon flags are.. any link where i can see them or u can explain me how to do it please
Thanks
