need serious help

Post by robbyc27 »

im currently on a 2000 calorie a day diet, which is well balanced and healthy. i want to lose body fat % but at the same time i am doing 3 days of 12 rep exercises for each muscle group. ive been reading up that doing this wont really produce the fat reducing results i am after. plus i am taking anywhere from 150-220 grams of protein per day. which i also read isnt good for losing fat. is this true?

i weight 220 pounds, and im 6 foot 1.

I think that If you are taking in alot of protein which isn't used up for growth or recovery that day, It will turn into fat. Although I'd better leave it until the pros reply.

1g Protein per lb of bodyweight seems okay, it's a well preched maxim, though you could cut down ot 0.8, anoher well preached figure.

As you eat about 880 caloreis daily from Protein, you could have the same with Carbs, meaning a combined totally of 1,760, which leaves you with 240 cals from Fat.

So fat woud be roughly 27g Fats a day, or from 6 meals, 4.3g roughly per meal. From 5 meals about 5.4g a meal.
