Bench press

Post by Wip »

In routine, I'm doing BB Bench & am having a hard time reaching max because I go to gym (Early Morning) & have no spotter. I do what I am comfortable with, then go to machine that sitting postition and do max I can there. I feel I'm short cutting if I can't get max on each exercise. I do ok with everything else. I know a spotter is safer & better, but I live in a hole and have no friends..lol Any suggestions..without getting a spotter.

Go for Dumbell Bench press if necessary. You're less likely to get some of the muscles on one side of your Upper Body, becoming too reliant on the ones on the other side, as that can happen, but DB Bench Press forces both sides of the body to work equally.

Plus if you get into problems, you can drop the weights either side of the bench, though even if you're like me, pushing it to the limit on those, you should till be able to put the weights down, without dropping the most of the time.
