Heart Rate

Post by ChefKris »

I believe this might have been asked before, but I need to ask again.

I used the tredmill at the gym and I want to know should heart rate be at the fat burning or cardio rate? or is going above it ok? I want to burn fat...but that rate is pretty low and feel as though Im not really doing anything. Please fill me in on what it should be at or if it matters. Thanks

just go as hard as you can intermittently with fast and slow intervals for 1min each x 15mins max...the fat burning heart rate zone is a myth

Fat Burning Zone

Post by XQH000AD0001 »

IMO, the Fat Burning Zone, which is about 130-140 bpm for me seems too good to be true since it feels like a stroll in the park... but then again, I NEVER tried it because I'm afraid that I could be wasting time. I usually work at about 155-165 bpm for medium intensity cardio, which is fairly comfortably tiring (you know what I mean).
