5 x 5 Training

Post by anima »

I have recently came across an article about a 5x5 training.

For a 5 x 5 training routine, do you only do 1 exercise per body part?

For example, I would make a Day 1 routine something like:

5 x 5 Benchpress

5 x 5 Dips

5 x 5 Military Press

Or, could I add in more exercises for each body part?

Thanks alot,

i would do 1 focus exercise a day where you'd do 5 x 5, training 3/week with some accesory work...something like this:

day 1 - squats 5 x 5, shoulder press pull / chin ups 4 x 8, shoulder press 3 x 12

day 2 - inverted or seated row 5 x 5, stiff leg deadlifts 4 x 8, close grip bench press 3 x 12

day 3 - bench press 5 x 5, glute ham raise or back ext 4 x 8, reverse curls 3 x 12

add abs or whatever
