Workouts for people on the road?
Hi guys, I travel a lot and was wondering what you guys end up doing when you are in hotels for extended periods of time. I get sent on a lot of business trips and it really cuts down on gym time.

I JP.
Well I've never had to experience what you're talking about but the easiest thing to do would be an all over body weight workout, because if you could do that 3 times a week on alternate days you'd be laughing.
You'd also be able to slip a couple of cardio sessions in by going for a run or a walk near the hotel.

If you have a kindle I highly recommend the book "Hotel Fitness: Workouts for the Road Warrior". I was in almost your exact situation with traveling a while ago and it really helped with me getting at least a decent workout while on the road. It has a lot of cool workout techniques that you can do in your room or hotel gym! Check it out:

I'm the same! I'm often away a couple of nights a week and you can't always book a hotel with a gym.
In blog I list a couple of apps I've found really helpful,to,keep, the wheels,turning....

I don't travel nearly as much as you do, but when I find myself away from gym I use online workouts to keep up with fitness- https://www.beachbody.com/product/fitne ... -videos.do Hotel gyms are not always as good as their site shows and this is a more consistent way to train when traveling.

Yes, going for walks can help. There are also a lot of things that you can do in your hotel room such as push-ups, situps, tricep dips, etc. Be creative and try to come up with some exercises you can do in your room. Good luck!

Seriously. I've seen some extremely pathetic gyms, but sometimes you can manage to get creative and get a decent workout in. A lot of gyms offer day passes, and there are a lot of gyms that give you nationwide access: LA Fitness, 24 Hour, Planet Fitness (uggh), etc.jgerard wrote:Hotel gyms are not always as good as their site shows

Hi Swoley1!
Workout depends on your goal. Do you want to build muscles or lose extra weight?
There is a very good exercises in the car.
Also you can find some exercises in the park or at the beach. Take a look. Maybe it will help you

Re: Workouts for people on the road?
I already do a home workout program called Focus T25 created by Shaun T. Each workout is only 25 minutes, so great for busy at home life. However just recently Beachbody created a system. So you can now just stream all of their workouts. I have already tried it out on a recent hotel trip and loved it! That is what I would advise but if you don't like that or just can't do that quite yet, you can always swim or use the hotel gym. I would advise doing 45 minutes every other day if you could.
