I did crossfit for about 3 months, it was awesome but I had to quit because of other issues, I gained about 10 pounds while crossfiting and now I would like to lose those 10 plus some more, two weeks ago I started doing cardio and some strength training 5 days a week and I started a food journal.
An example of the cardio I'm doing is:
20 mins running (1.60 mile)
Interval of burpees and squats (about 40 of each)
25 mins of elliptical
Some other days I would just run 4 miles
Or walk 3.5 mile
I try to burn 500-600 with workouts
And I consumed around 1600-1700 calories
I'm 35, female, never had kids.
5.6 height, CW 175
goal weight is 145
After this first two weeks, I haven't lost any weight. Would this be good enough to reach goal?

Hi Purplenights, good to talk to you.
If you don't mind me asking, how did you gain 10lbs from doing crossfit?

Hi Boss Man! Nice talking to you too.Boss Man wrote:Hi Purplenights, good to talk to you.

I guess it's mostly muscle what made me put on the weight while doing crossfit, I did see major changes on the shape of body, waist got smaller, I got rid of the "muffin top" around waist, legs got stronger and a lot of cellulite dissapeared but upper back(around shoulders) got a lot bigger and to be honest I do not like that at all, butt also got bigger but with a nice shape, the down side is that jeans don't fit anymore and buying bigger size is just sad sometimes. I wasn't really counting calories or restricting any food, so I think that also helped to put on the pounds.
Anyway, I quit because of other reasons, but now I really want to shed some weight, I'm 35, and even though I have no kids it's so much harder to lose weight.
Do you have any advice that can help?
Thanks!

I wouldn't be disappointed by the muscle, trust me, your body will thank you in the future, if you become an 80 something and you're independent, strong and able to still live your own life.
Also buying the bigger clothes need not feel sad, because if you remember you're actually stronger not overweight then it could actually be a positive experience, where you can wear larger sizes with pride
.
So I would suggest that you don't do anything to seriously risk losing some of that hard earned, well deserved muscle, but we can certainly try to look at aspects of your diet and see what happens.
What foods do you eat and what times do you eat at?
