I'm halfway there, but I think I need help now

Post by error7 »

Dear friends, How are you all? Hope you're fine. There is a problem I'm facing nowadays and I'll be very happy if you can help me.

I have always been overweight since childhood. I'm 26 y.o. 170 cm and 94 kg for the last a few weeks.

On September 2014 I was at worst condition with 115 kg. I knew that I needed to do something. I went to see a doctor, and it helped me a lot. I started doing sports like brisk walks, running and push ups. I controlled eating. I cut a lot of things from former diet. It went great and I lost more than 20 kg. In the controls of the doctor, I seemed to have about 35 kg of muscle, which I succeeded keeping while losing the extra fat. Now I'm feeling a lot better. I am way better at any phisical activity. I'm halfway there, but I think I need help now. I am at this weight for more than a month now. I am not gaining what I've lost but not losing either. I'm just stuck in this weight loss plateau. I don't know what I should do. To be honest, I can admit I lost motivation a bit. But more important than that, I have difficulty doing sports as I'm busy working in job. I work for 12 hours on mondays and thursdays. That means these two days I don't have any time or energy left for sports. However I can do cardio and workout on other 5 days . To achieve the best results, what can you recommend me. What kind of a routine can I use?

Thank you for your support, hope to let you know about the improvements. See you.

Hi Error, good to talk to you.

In the last month, have any of your lifts gone up or have they stagnated?

Hi Boss Man, thank you for your answer.

I don't go to a gym. I was able to run on a track in autumn, but for the last a few weeks the snow and the cold weather interfered. The only thing I did besides cardio was push ups which I quit because of an injury. Now the weather is finer, I don't feel any injury and I can continue from where I was a month ago. I've lost some strenght, but I hope I can get it back. I have Tuesdays, Wednesdays and weekends. 2 consecutive days, twice a week. How can I plan a week of mine in order to achieve the best results until summer? There are some patterns in mind, but I don't know if they would work.

Tuesday: Cardio
Wednesday: Weight lifting
Saturday: Cardio
Sunday: Weight lifting

Tuesday: Cardio + weight lifting
Wednesday: Cardio + weight lifting
Saturday: Cardio + weight lifting
Sunday: Cardio + weight lifting

can you please recommend a pattern? Thank you very much.

I'd go with the first option rather than the second one.

I'd say weight wise you've lost a bit of strength as you say and gained a bit of fat back, so that could be the reason why your weight stagnated.
