is it muscle or fat?

Post by (Rage) »

Okay, lately, main focus is building muscles in arms and abs. But arms mostly. However, sometimes i don't know if the flabby little skin, fat or whatever is it, IT IS. You know when you pose to show muscles in ur arms? When I do that, biceps are hard, triceps somewhat hard. I'm skinny in arms, and legs btw, except for abs, which im working for, and changed too.

However, when I relx arms, all I touch seems to be skin or fat, i dnt know which one it is...if it's either. You can I just started working out for 2 months for all parts of body..I'd post a pic if i could, but I can't...Can smeone tell me from what I explained if it's muscles or fat?

Its the same thing with legs. When I'm standing/walking, it's hard, and feel the muscles, but when I'm sitting, they just go flabby (if thats the word)?

So what is it? Is it that i dont have enough muscles so that it hold its shape like when it's psoing, or is it that have both muscles and fat in arms, triceps area, or i have zero muscle in triceps area, and im just imagining i do?

I just touched arms, squeezed it so to say, and i feel muscleu like, not fatty like. Could it be just skin?!

Damn...

Muslce expansion will do things like that, and make the muscle feel less tight. So when you contract the muscle in the Arms, it does feel harder.

That's nothing specific to you, it's just one of those thing, and nothing really to be too concerned about.

so in another words, its muscles, and its normal it feels like that when relaxed..? is there anyway I can to make it stronger, a certain excersize maybe? Especially triceps, boy they are hard work!

Oh, and another Q popped in head sometime ago, when doing reps between sessions and all, is it better to do an excerisize, then relax, then do ANOTHER exsersize..and so on, and then go back to the 1st or is it better to do Exersize 1 with it's sets and reps, then another exersize with it's sets and reps? I'm thinking the way I'm working out is why im not gaining muscle right, cause im doing the 1st way...Excersize 1, then 2, then 3, then 4, then back to 1...2..etc..

dam, dude, hhaha, i had the exact same problem.
i dont know about the other stuff, but the problems u described, i faced
do a good balance of resistance training (high weight low reps) proper eating, and cardio
cardio will take care of the abs and legs, while workout will take care of ur arms

dips, pullups, and straight leg hanging leg raises gave me amazing results, so do them too

and dont forget ur diet

im glad to know im not alone in this! Yeah im taking care of diet. I believ only 15-20% of daily intake is not very healthy, not bad food, just not healthy...anyways, im doing the leg raise since today, i felt abs burn, and there is couch crunches after 10 reps you feel you're exhausted, sometimes more..depends for how long you start doing it...So yep..

I do about 8-12 reps in any workout I do, depends on how much I can handle holding the weight in arms.

Cardio assists Fat loss all over the body, not just Legs and Abs. Weights workotus are beneficial for all muscle groups, so Legs and Abs, should not be given totally differing focuses of attention.
