Since I started this workout extravaganza, I'm eating twice as much as I was before and I'm STILL hungry.... Why am I always hungry now? It doesn't matter what time of the day.
I just had 2 egg whites, a soy burger (no bread), an apple w/3 TBLSP peanut butter (WAY more than I used to eat) and I'm still hungry. This has GOT to be why I'm not losing fat in butt and thighs. Yes, I have toned in the upper body but that's about it.
Before I would eat under 1,000 calories a day with no problem and be FINE! I did not work out, but was fairly active in everyday life. I always kept weight around the same 140-145 lbs at 5'7 1/2" ....now I still weigh 142!
I'm frusterated!
The more I eat, the more hungry I am!! HELP!

Could be the spaces of meals. Try to keep meals to 2.5-3 hours at a time, don't do things like 4-5 hour spaces, as the nutrients in your food mostly get processed over 3 hours, then you get 1-2 hours of muscle burn instead, before the next meal.2 egg whites, a soy burger (no bread), an apple w/3 TBLSP peanut butter
Could be your Carbs, you're only appearing to get Carbs from the Apple. Whilst Apples have about 80 calories per regular sized Apple, the Carbs may potentially be less than 10g, (40 calories), and that's not very desirable, you should be okay aiming for 2-3 times that amount.
You might find if you have a couple of slices of Whole-grain bread, and the burger patty as a sandwich filling, the calorie intake will increase a touch, but the extra carbs may help sate you better.
Presumably you don't have any food intolerances or allergies.
Also Peanut butter Fats, are a bit on the bad fatty side, and Nuts can be Salty, so the Sodium content of your PB could be questionable.
If you want an alternative to PB, try Almonds. you get about 6g Protein per cup, and the Fats are healthier, or have some Toasted Flaxseeds, for Fats. You can usually get them already Toasted I believe.
You might also be able to cook the Soy Burger in a bit of Olive Oil. to increase the healthy Fats, though what it would tase like I don't know.
Definitely seems like a potential Carb issue, which something like Whole-grain Bread with your Burger, might correct.

To be honest (you can hit me) I'm afraid of carbs... A couple years ago, during the whole carb/Adkins frenzy, I lost 10 lbs (not just water weight either) in about 4 weeks not eating carbs... go ahead and roll your eyes
And honestly, I'm still in the mindframe that carbs are bad.
This was thinking.... don't eat carbs all day, then I can have some ice cream, cookies, etc, after dinner (as a treat). I was raised having snack time at night, and yes, I've been out of the house for 10 years but I still haven't been able to break that habit!
I guess I need to "re-program" myself?

Most of your daily water intake is obtainable from foods, but a bit extra is always beneficial.
Carbs are not bad, Atkins is bad. Decreasing your Carbs, may lead to something called Ketosis, where you burn fat for energy, instead of converting Carbs for Glucose.
Atkins is poorly proven, and I personally think after hearing more bum reports about Atkins, Dr Atkins is possibly a bonehead.
