Squats Stun Growth?

Post by felguard »

I've always wondered, do squats stun your growth?

I've heard a few answers where they only stun your growth if you do it wrong, so does that mean that squats don't stun your growth if you do them correctly?

The only possible way that might happen, is if you're doing Squats at the ages of say 13, 14, 15, when Bone structures are not fully formed, because the compression the Spine, might possibly affect the posture of the Spinal Vertebrae, but apart from that, Squats injure you through poor technique. Stunted growth, unless possible the way I described, I think probably isn't possible from Squats.

Thanks for the long awaited answer. I've always wondered about this ever since a kid.
