Hey everyone,
names Jake Stewart and I'm an 18 year old in California. I've been playing football for 4 years and have gained 75 pounds since freshman year for football. I'm now a senior at 5'7" and 215 pounds. Most people call me short and stocky when they see me but thats because shirt covers a layer of fat on stomach. lower body is all toned while upper body has wide shoulders with a fat stomach, man boobs, and those flabby, undefined arms that all lineman have. I set weight lifting records for school but none of that matters now that football is over. I'm no stranger to working out, but all of workouts have been to gain weight considering I'm a lineman. Its time to get rid of the fat up front and define the upper part of body. I'm aware that the only way to lose this weight is to cut calories and exercise and I've already started that. I'm basically not snacking anymore and have a very limited breakfast and lunch with a good sized dinner. I drink water in the morning, soda in the afternoon and milk at night. I know the basics to lose this weight, but I was wondering if I could have some extra advice for those of you who lost weight fast. I'm getting a running schedule going and planning to run 20-30 minutes every night and doing fat loss type workouts during the day since our weight room is open for the underclassmen training for next year. goal for weight loss is around 175, but as long as the fat is gone I could care less. After I lose the weight I can have our strength coach help me define everything. So now that I've explained elaborate situation, I would love some weight loss advice for scenario other than cut calories and exercise. All contributions are appreciated,
-Jake

What does a breakdown of your daily eating look like, in terms of the times you eat and what you foods you eat at those times.

In the morning I eat some cheese sticks and thats about it. Now a days Id rather get more sleep then wake up early to make breakfast.Boss Man wrote:What does a breakdown of your daily eating look like, in terms of the times you eat and what you foods you eat at those times.
Lunch is usually a chicken sandwich, peanut butter sandwich, or some form of meat with some random bag of doritos chips.
Dinner is the biggest meal; usually red meat, chicken or pasta with some starch and a small salad every now and again. I drink water all throughout the day, sometimes soda, and a good amount of milk at night. I only snack in the afternoon and its a few chips at the most.

If I snack its around 2-4pm
Running is at night around 9pm and if I workout during the day its around 10:00am

Breakfast is easy, so there's no reason to eat small breakfast just for another 5-10 minutes of Zzz's
Any of these would work as a breakfast or part of a breakfast.
Cereal, toast, scrambled eggs, pre-boiled eggs, baked beans, bread, sandwiches, nuts, peanuts, beef, turkey, ham and chicken from a packet, low fat cheese, oat granola's, low sugar yoghurt, flaxseeds, fruit including tomatos and cucumbers, vegetables like pineapple, lettuce, carrot sticks and celery sticks.
Most of these could be used to make snacks as well, apart from the cereal and toast, so if you could have something mid morning as well that would help, say around 9:30-10:30.
