Need help to lose muscle??

Post by Khan_2000_SLD »

So this is probably a silly question, and i don't want any sarcastic or nasty responses please.

Im 23 female and slightly over-weight, i have recently quit smoking, and really become very serious about losing weight, i have been diagnosed with PCOS AND ceolliac and DR has suggested a low carb, low sodium gluten free diet, i don't eat any seafood and little meat, so i take omega supplements daily as well as vitamin D tablets because i have a condition that doesn't allow skin to absorb any vit D from the sun, this isn't the problem and im having no problems sticking to the suggested diet and at the moment im doing at least 1.5-2 hours of cardio a day, no weights training but it seems no matter what i do, i still build a lot of muscle due to high levels of testosterone which is a symptom of the PCOS, im beginning to form a slight "manly" body which i dont like, back to point i was wondering if anyone has any tips on what i can do to try and "get rid" of the muscle so to speak, its not nice to be a 23 year old female with more muscle then some guys and not looking very feminine :( :(

Hi Sarah, it's good to talk with you :).

Well from personal observations, muscle on females often looks eyecatching, healthy and feimine and is good in the long-term for helping to prevent or reduce pain and other problems associated with old age.

I am not entrely sure how I could proceed with this at present, because I am not able to see how what you're referring to actually looks like.

Would it be possible to post any pictures for us to see? Of course if you can't or would prefer not to, I will completely understand, as I wouldn't want you to compromise your feelings in any way, but it might help :).
