I was wondering if anybody has any thoughts on weight gain supplements. I have a small build and used the gym to gain some size but there is only so much I can grow. I know some people who have used weight gainers to good effect but I dont want to add weight to stomach. I hear they are loaded with calories which isn't great.
Has anybody used any products that they would recommend or is it something to steer clear from?
Your help is much appreciated as always.
Thanks

Re: Weight Gain Supplements
A good basic one that I used to use is called protein and Complex Carbs. Nutrisport make it.
It's basically protein, Maltodextrin, a small bit of fat a bit of pea fibre for smoothness, a little Creatine and a variation of Arginine called Ketoglutarate.
There's a concentrate version, but I think there's also an isolate version, but you can always check their website and download the technical specs.

Re: Weight Gain Supplements
Your post workout meal is key to growth and recovery. Within an hour of exercise cessation have a meal with a carb to protein ratio of 4-1 and little fat. During this magic hour your body will increase uptake of carbohydrates and protein to your muscle to restore muscle glycogen and effect recovery. Ty some low fat chocolate meal with 5 grams of creatine before hitting the shower then eat the 4-1 meal.
