Well assuming you're not promoting that product, I'd avoid it, as it's and the person you buy that product off will get a commission, as all the money is not going direct to a seller, or distributor and it's not your responsibilty to finance somebodies second income.

Also using workout programmes devloped by people purported to being ex-military are not necessarily good, or the right thing, although in some cases they could be, but bearing in mind that someone with a media profile, that has good accredited training qualifications, puts media out you could trust more, but ex-military people may not have accredited or checkable histories and may be espousing certain methodologies they were taught, but have no actual qualifications in.

So I would view such products with caution, but not shun them completely, as they may be good products that get results.

The most natural exercise to the human body is walking. Start with that, add swimming if you can because it is none impact. Upper body strengthening can be added as you go. Resistance bands would be ideal to start. Over time you want to transition into full functional training routines. I have had several post surgery clients with fusions or laminectomies and they were completely recovered in 4-6 months.

I'd actually say swimming has some sort of impact, as it could be classed as resistance training, because the body fights against a semi-dense, molecular medium :).
