Absonutrix

Anyone know about the supplement Absonutrix? Have been using it to help with workouts and building muscle and so far seen good results. Wondered if others had seen the same.

I checked their site and I'm seriously not impressed. I will give you honest reasoning behind this, as you are worth that :).

1. Poor design in respects to some of the website formatting. too much free space around pictures, making pages too long. Not a big problem however.

2. Ingredients in some products not stated and in others stated, but it doesn't say if the stated ingredients are the complete list, nor does it give quantities. For example, one ingredient might be in goodly amounts and give benefit you can see and / or feel, however the other ingredients may be in poor amounts, but the price ramped up to reflect a cost to the manufacturer, of ingredient levels that never get added.

As an example, would you pay for a product with herbs in it, priced to supposedly reflect a hypothetical 15% - 20% of the overall cost to you, if they added herbal content equating to about 5% of the cost to you?

No, it's a scam.

I'm not accusing this company of that, but any company not willing to give easy disclosure of product amounts, gets a thumbs down. I want to know every products ingredients and amounts, to be sure I'm getting something I can independantly reasearch, for safety reasons and also to make sure I don't pay for content that isn't added, only what I think is fair.

Stating some ingredients without disclosing that it's a complete list concerns me, as does lack of disclosure of amounts.

If they want your business, they should take time to give you full product disclosure, (obviously not specifics about the manufacturing process), but full ingredient lists, amounts and relevant health warnings where needed, so you have the wherewithall to reasearch something properly, to make sure it won't react to things like Caffeine, Alcohol, Medications, or cause short or long-term damage to the body, from supposedly safe consumption levels.

3. Saying they don't use inferior suppliers, doesn't mean they don't use rubbish amounts of some ingredients, regardless of the quality, or make products with a lot of unnecessary ingredients, that can be overpriced and hyped up accordingly.

In short, if you can't find out easily what their ingredients are and what amounts, you can't be guaranteed you won't get side effects or damage at some point, regardless of efficacy.

Also one of their products contains Theobromine, a Methylxanthine found in Chocolate. Methylxanthines include Theophylline in Tea and Caffeine in things like Tea, Coffee, Guarana, Kola Nuts, Yerba Mate etc etc.

The Xanthines in them, can convert like Nitrogen in Proteins does, to Uric Acid and may elevate Gout risk, so one to be aware of, as such things may be healthful to a point, but again the caveat should still be caution of a product with such things in it.

Hopefully that clarifies a few things for you, regards supplement choosing in the future :).

Good luck.
