Discuss diet

Post by dchfyzw »

Breakfast: about 0.5- 1 l water
0.5 tablespoon instant coffee
2 packs stevia
0.5-1 cup unsweetened soymilk
two slices pineapple
1 slice soy bread
1 Centrum multivitamin
2 tbsp liquid Healthy Greens supplement

Lunch
2 soy bread wraps filled with contents of 1 small tin of rinsed tuna slices (total, not each)
2 dollops mayonnaise total
1 tbsp spicy Thai dip (contains salt) total
5-10 olives
2 large oranges
0.5 l water

Dinner
More water

1x - 2x / week
2 dry cups pasta, boiled, tossed with 1 tbsp olive oil
Sauce: two cans whole peeled tomatoes, 1 tbsp olive oil, spices, no salt added, cooked
1 tbsp low fat feta cheese mixed in with sauce

2 x - 3x week, boil 1 kg of frozen mixed veggies with maybe 0.5 tbsp olive oil, spices (no salt added)
Eat as soup sometimes with soy bread as scoop

1 x - 2x week, no dinner, maybe will just have more soymilk

1 x maybe 2x week, restaurant Indian food: usually fish curry with fish biryani, eat less than half the rice offered and 1 or 2 of the big pieces of naan bread offered, only drink water with this meal

1 x maybe 2 x, 2 cups boiled oatmeal, only sweetened with stevia.

No snacks or soft drinks ever.

I think the fat content is the problem here. Ugh, just reading about that olive oil and mayo makes me realize I have to cut it out...

ugh... horrible.... you can't skip meals, you also need to eat a bigger breakfast and have healthy snacks such as veggies and hummus between meals. The hardest thing for me to get thru clients head is you need to eat to lose weight. Read up on healthier diets, this sounds like a crash program. A realistic diet with good cardio you'll be aiming at losing 1-2 pounds a week, if you are very overweight 5 pounds a week, anything else will cause rebounds and may be dangerous.
