will workout program work
hi, i`m just wondering if new training program will work.
i do 3 exercises for each muscle group and increase weight and lower reps and swop exercises every week, i.e
week 1
bench press
set 1, 8 reps, 60 kg
set 2, 7 reps, 70 kg
set 3, 6 reps, 80 kg
with 2 other exercises
week 2
dumbell hammer bench press
set 1, 8 reps, 20kg
set 2, 7 reps, 25kg
set 3, 6 reps, 30kg
with 2 other exercises.
so i do week 1 then week 2 then back to week 1 and repeat and up weight every 4-8 week depending on exercise

no, i work out upper body 3 days a week 2 muscle groups each day i.e
mon - chest + tri`s
wed - shoulders + bi`s
fri - back + traps
then legs on sat/sun
mon - chest + tri`s
wed - shoulders + bi`s
fri - back + traps
then legs on sat/sun

Do you think like most young men that you only have a chest to work ?..Seriously...legs, back, what of those ?

It would be good to see the exercises you plan on doing in each session, for example:
session (chest & tri etc.)
exercise, reps, no. of sets, rest time inbetween or if you superset
Personally, it sounds a bit too spread out over too many sessions. But I think that's own preference on training rather than based on science. I split workout into 3 sessions. Currently it's Back & Bicep (hits the lats too), Chest & Tricep, Leg & Shoulders, with a maximum of 6 exercises per session as that's all I can fit into a 50-60min session.

hi this is the workout I was thinking of, i will alternate each week i.e wk1then wk2 back to wk1then wk2 again an repeat

overhead bar extentions concentration curls bar shrugs

week 2
Monday wednesday Friday

hammer b/press bentover side raisess reverse grip bentover rows
inc b/press upright bar rows reverse pulldowns
roun the worlds twisted d/bell press d/bell rows
tri`s bi`s traps
pushdowns preacher d/bell curl same as week 1
d/bell extentions wide grip bar curl
reverse b/press seated d/bell curls
i do legs on a weekend and do cardio an abs tuesday and thursday
sets and reps are as followed for every exercise

2 7 increase weight on each set, i have 3 mins rest between each set and 6 mins between exercise
