Hi, I'm new to these forums, so much great information on here I'm slowly working through it!
I've been lifting for a year now working on building chest, tri's and arms.
What I have noticed to date though and what has become more and more noticible is an imbalance between the size of pecs.
The bigger side is dominant side and the side of the heart which I read can be quite normal. But the thing that has become quite obvious is the extent of the imbalance. for some reason this has also occurred while using only DB's, so I am somewhat surprised.
I have begun to focus on working only the smaller side with a routine 3 times a week which involves the following:
5-6 x12 DB one arm fly's, 5-6 x12 DB presses and 5-6 x12 DB bicep curls on both arms as the bicep is not a problem.
The question is, is there any other ideas other than focusing on the smaller side? I feel this is the only way to really work on this problem properly. I've read that usuallu both sides shouls even up naturally but to date this has not happened obviously.
your thoughts/ideas would help alot!

Hey there Maverick and welcome.
Now you stated that "for some reason this has also occurred while using only DB's, so I am somewhat surprised."
If you're only doing dumbbells you're continually working out each side individually. So, each side is getting stronger, and proportionately so. I would recommend, ESPECIALLY for pectorals, the barbell. Bench Presses, Incline Bench Press and even pushups will help work both sides of the muscle as a whole.
