Choosing The Correct Weights/questions

Post by friedlander18 »

I just started working out, and the exercise program im doing has me doing 3 sets and 10 reps of each workout. The weight im choosing allows me to do about 12 reps first set, 10 reps the second set, but I can only do about 6 to 8 reps on the Third set. Am I using too much weight?

Sounds like a good weight. Just keep working with that weight til you can do 10 3 times, then increase again.

Yeah, thats sound fine I think 8 -12 reps is ideal at this point. Be sure to change up the exercises you perform at least every few weeks to prevent plateaus. Also, keep no more that 8-10 exercises per workout to prevent over training.
