Im a 40yo guy who works out regularly 3-4 times per week and drink between 10-15 cups per day monday to friday. On the weekends i would average 4-5 per day.Just being honest!!!!!

10-15 cups Monday to Friday. You're very likely going to get Caffeine poisoning, unless you cut back immediately.

I hate the stuff, I think it looks and smells disgusting, and wouldn't drink it in a million years, but as you do, you would be advised to have as much as you drink at weekends.

If you need any other forms of refreshment, to replace your Coffee, then try things like water, Diet lemonade at a push, Non- sweetened juice sources like Del Monte Juice Bar, which I don't think is sweetened.

I drink Diet Coke, but I only drink it at most twice a day, and only when I work, which means no DC at weekends, and that's for the taste only, not the Caffeine.

Hopefully that helps.

Thanks to all the info here, I have cut back coffee to just 2 cups a day. I replaced other 3 and 4 cups with water or Diet Lipton tea. It has definitely been a positive change! I think I was getting dehydrated which led to me being lethargic or something???

I love coffee and I drink 2 cups a day. Lots of people do. The problem is if you don't drink enough water. How much are you drinking now?

I agree with Sarah. I drink 1 cup of coffee in the morning after workout and breakfast. Just be sure to drink plenty of water. New research indicates that caffeineated beverages can be counted as part of total daily fluids.

i think there is but in that case you'd still only want 1 before working out and no others...if your caloreis and training intensity are correct than you won't need it anyway and it WON'T burn more fat if calories are not already perfect
