Help with a injury

Post by kyralitah »

Hi,

I work out 6 days a week...about a month ago I ended up in hospital with a inflamed kidney...(thats how they decribed it)...which was caused by cramping in the muscle....which I was also told was from too much weight lifting.....I cannot even describe how bad the pain was, just take word for it.

Anyhow,I am a 35yr female....I lift weights 3 times a week only, but I still get this pain on and off in kidney that is becoming annoying, the pain is not that bad....I want to increase weight..but each time I do the pain gets worse.....(the pain comes off and on,not there all the time).

doctor told me to reduce weights and I did .....I lift only 10-12lbs..
I have had tests and kidney is fine, just the pain that comes and go....I was told it takes time to heal but how much time!

Would appreciate any advise on this.

Thanks
Kyra

just do what the doctor says and wait i suppose...an option may be to try slow reps where you lift a wt in 5secs, pause in the contracted position x 5secs and then lower in 5secs (can vary the times though) which will make a light wt challenging...it isn't optimal but may do the trick at this stage untill the pain subsides
