Is it normal to gain scale weight after starting a weigh lifting/exercise program?
It's only been 2 weeks and already I see minor changes in body, however I seemed to have GAINED 2 lbs????
How could this be?....oh, and diet hasn't changed..

if diet ahsn't changed than it's probably muscle unless diet is terrible...when starting wts first up females will tend to gain muscle and lose fat at the same rate so for every pd of fat you lose you'll likely gain 1pd of muscle or more so don't worry about your wt going up slighlty it will help you in the long run...afterabout 6 weeks your muscle gaining will slow and you should hopefully just lose fat if all is proper
swanso5 is pretty much right on. If you get your BF% checked, chances are you gained (example) 5lbs of muscle and loss 3lbs of fat, hence the reason for the weight gain. But like swanso said, eventually your muscle gain will plateau and you will just lose weight, fat weight at that, not muscle.

And while I seem to be toning up a bit, the scale hasn't been friend. I guess it only has been just over 2 weeks since I started with resistance training and maybe I'll have to wait a while longer to see the scale budge a bit.

The human body weight fluctuates up to 7 pounds per day. The scale is not always that accurate of a tool. Don't worry ab out 2 pounds. It's most likely just a fluctuation. Your muscles may be holding fluids around them due to bein g worked. I highly doubt you gained enough muscle to show up ont he scale. It's really hard for women to gain muscle at all.
