Just wondering a blood pressure of

Post by Frenchmaid1969 »

110 on 76 is this good? The doctor told me its a bit low but he told me that usually i am around 114 to 118 on 76 or 80 so he is not too concern! It just I told him that sometime I feel dizzy and weak and he took blood work to see white and red cell count! I have a lots of food allergies and I don't eat any bread, pasta ect.. also almost no red meat but I just started to take b12 this week but I also take magnesium too like 3 cap am, 3 pm before to go to bed and 2 during the day maybe its too much! But naturopath told me that your body get rid of it if you have too much!! Well I will see If I feel better with the B12..Its weird but It happen often that I feel like that close to period so maybe its something related to eachother!!! :D

Thanks!

The supposed magical figure is 120 / 80.

110 / 74, isn't too bad, you'd have a problem if was around 90/60.

It might possibly be linked to Salt intake. Too much Salt can cause Hypertension, but there may be a correlation with too little Salt, as that could cause an electrolyte imbalance, but whether too little impacts on blood pressure negatively, I'm not 100% certain.

If the reading was a bit too low it could be tied in with some kind of mild Heart issue, like a slight inability to pump blood out of the heart.

There is a situation called Water Hammer or Trip Hammer pulse, where the blood "regurgitates" and goes back through a valve, as the pulse requred to pump effectively is weak and doesn't provide the requisite force to push the blood effectively.

Magnesium is prevelant in quite a few things like Beans, Rice and Fish as examples. Halibut has the best source of dietary Magnesium.

In relation to menstruating, Iron is something females menstruate, so whereas men and females over 50 generally need around 7-8mg a day, menstrual females need around 14-15mg a day.

Iron intake can be helped by Vitamin C and Capsicum as they act as boosters, but too much Caffeine and Tannic Acid and alos too much Magnesium and Calcium and Copper can block Iron, by causing some kind of interference.

Heme Iron in animal matter is best absorbed at around 15-20%, as it helps to form Red Blood Cells, (Erythrocytes), that carry oxygen around the blood.

Heme helps to make the Heamoglobin in Erythrocytes and Myoglobin, that stores Oxygen in muscles red.

Non-heme in plant matter is absorved at around 5-10%, but grains are the best for plant matter, so the issue might be iron related as you don't eat grains and red meat, two of the best source of dietary Iron.

One thing you could try is taking a Vitamin C supplement. Take a 500mg one in the morning and if there's any issue try buffered. You could then have another at night, this could potentially then be stepped up to 2 x 1g a day.

if you're eating 5 times a day, consider a 6th meal around 2 hours after dinner.

You could easily increase your intake of Iron and B Vits, by having something like a small portion of Chicken and Beans, as Beans are good for B Vits, so a pre-cooked Chicken Breast and a small portion of cooked beans would work, as would some Mushroom, or indeed a small portion of Rice.

You can get things like Microwavable rice that contains things like a few peas and other stuff, which might be worth looking into, if you're fine digesting Rice.

Chicken is also good for Zinc which boosts the immune system, so the added Zinc and C would be beneficial.

So there are things to think about there which you should do some research on first for your own piece of mind.

ok, thanks for the info Boss!
I don't eat much salt maybe I should add a bit more to stuff?
You think if I would of have that heart problem you mention bp would be lower... I pass all kind of heart test about 4 years ago..(stress test, nuclear stress test, 24 hours heart monitor, ekg) they did not see nothing then do you think they would of seen it?

You think it could be because I lost so much weight and the lack of food I am not eathing!
Ok I will try to take some vitamin C so one in the am and after a bit one at night!
The magnesium I am taking in caps.. so this could stop the absorbtion of the iron!

Its just weird I really don't like to feel like this!! Could that be many a low sugar in blood some of friend mention that.. because last night I eat just a few small chocolat bars the tiny one your eat during halloween I had some craving for that so I had some during the afternoon and at night I had to very tiny one from holliday stuff its call (MERCI) so could this cause sugar to drop something like that!!! Because I remember last night I was very tired, I feel a sleep on the coach I was so tired!

I guess if doctor was very worry he would of say something, he wanted me to wait after the holliday to see if I was still dizzy and then take blood work but since I was there he took it today getting the result on January 7th! He is checking the Iron, Thyroid, White cell, Red cell, B12 i think so will see I just hope i don't feel like that tomorrow!

Passing a heart test 4years ago is fine, but that was then, so any possible issue(s), or anomelie(s) heart-wise, could occur sicne then, as it's a long enough time frame, so don't rule out a heart issue, but for now go with what the specialists say and feel free to impelement the new things you said you would implement likke Vit C.

Also you mentioend increasing Salt. I'd avoid that, as high Salt causes hypertension. You need Salt to avoid things like Cramps and keep electrolyte balance, but adding Salt in wouldn't necessarily help your problem unless you were told that by a dcotor.
