Protein Shakes

Post by Nblight »

I have a very hard time getting enough protein throughout the day, so I've decided to just buy a tub of some protein shake. I've never really used protein shakes before so I have a few questions: Can I add a protein shake to any meal I feel I'm lacking protein? Should that be enough, or should I try to find more natural sources? Should I have a shake after a workout and just have a small meal beforehand? Could a shake serve as a suitable breakfast?

Sorry for being clueless and thanks a lot. :)

Use it after workouts, and maybe to boost up your Breakfast. Most Protein shakes have stuff in like Maltodextrin, which would spike Bloodsugar, so both those times would be good for something like that.

Although keep your Breakfast mostly whole food, don't just have a shake if you do/
