question about toning & flattening

I have heard from so many sources, One will say that the more u work out the fltter and toner your stomach will be. But others say the more u work out the more your muscles will expand and bulk out. Im trying to tone and flatten, Some say working out less will help with that. Whats the real secret?? Besides healthy dieting?? Im not trying to be a body builder here lol! Just have a nice lean flat tone stomach. Any opinions?? I would appreciae it so much?

The muscles are only going to significntly expand, if you do things like weighted exercises, or have a significant Protein consumption daily.

Abs grow and respond in a similar way to any muscle group.

you need to train all over to get lean not certain muscle groups...you also need to probably increase metabolsim which means eating more and training more ecspeciially wts probably i'd say

I am assuming you are female? Your abs are not going to grow big. Not unless you take steroids, so don't work.

Quality is more important than quantity. Besides nutrition of course, a solid resistance training program and quality cardiovascular exercise will yield results. Keep in mind that when you listen to other's advice that you are unique and what worked for them might not work for you.
