rowing

Post by leedsmeister »

hey guys, i'm a rower and train on machines and with free weights every day and have races every two weeks. I have a big race coming up in three weeks and need to know how long i should rest for before a race as i wanna be fully fit but not out of practice. any tips on this and possibly some good strength training techniques which might help me. cheers

i would probably taper off the last 2 weeks and stop all training 3 - 4 days before with a a carb up phase from then on...without knowing the length of your races (and not having rowed ever...well hardly) it too hard to give you some strength techniques and it's probably too late to incoprorate them now anyway but fot the next race we can use some if a bit more info is given
