Hi all,
I have currently lost a grand total of 60 lbs over the past year. It seems I'm stuck at current weight of 208, and nothing I do seems to make any difference. The last time this happened I ended up giving up and gained back 15 lbs. I then adjusted meal plan and hit the gym, but I can't seem to break past 208. Does anyone have any suggestions?
current meal plan has me eating around 1900 calories a day. I had it made for me a few months ago when I weighed 225 lbs. I eat 5 meals a day, 6 when I work out, and I try to work out Monday and Wednesday. Do I need to adjust meal plan to take into account the weight I have lost? would 60 or so calories a day really make weight loss stop like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Mark

I would suggest readjusting you cals. Are bodies are fragile, doesn't take much to bring things to a halt. Let us know how things are working out.

I too sometimes get to that point of feeling defeated, so I just give up. If I can't get it 100% perfect, then I abandon ship. I say stick with it, and search for deeper reasons why you have been turning to food, and why you give up on yourself before you really get to a point of being happy.
I've been watching a lot of shows like, I Used to Be Fat (on MTV), and Food Addiction (on Oprah's site)... one commonality amongst everyone is that people are finding comfort in food, rather than dealing with underlying issues. I think the more pressure we have on ourselves to be perfect, the harder it is to accept that we have lost control over something and get it back. Stop giving your control over to food. Deal with what is really going on, and take the control back. Good luck, and I hope you stay on track.

Anytime you are on a set routine you will hit a plateau. Try cutting your calories by about 10% then add a free meal once a week I do this with clients all the time to great success. The other thing you need to do is rework your exercise. Again you want to vary your workout constantly for best results. Try adding a third day, cut the workout length down and increase the intensity. Shorter, harder workouts that incorporate burst of energy use are far better.
