CLA supplements?
Do they help or should I not bother? I have hypothroidism and everyone I talk to with condition points me in the direction of CLA. Your thoughts?
Re: CLA supplements?
CLA is a good product. It is in itself an Omega 3, so it's good stuff, but whether it will have any significant or tangible effects on Thyroid conditions I couldn't be sure.
Some say it's effects are worthy and others claim it to be a damp squib, so horses for courses really. I neither deride nor praise it, as I personally think it has some merit, but not necessarily for all users, depending on the person themselves and their physical circumstances.
I don't however think there would be anything to fear regards negative interactions with the Thyroid or associated medications, as it is as stated an Omega 3, Omega 3's being essential fatty acids, because the body cannot produce them, unlike Omega 9's which to knowledge it can.
So you could use it, but don't necessarily expect much to happen. If it does it does, if not it won't.
