I'm very new to working out and whatnot, so have limited knowledge. I mean, I train BJJ and whatnot, but have never payed attention to diet -- I figure its about time I do since I will be turning 31, in july.
Anyhoot, I tend to eat one of two things before I workout (which with weights is also new to me) or do some cardo. Just wondering if they (to sum it up) are OK meals to do so. I eat one of the two about 2-3 hours before I workout.
One, a large bowl of oatmeal. (Quarter teaspoon of brown sugar, just to make it not so plain.)
Two, brown rice and kidney beans. After the workout out I might have a banana or two or a tuna fish sandwich (in a wheat pocket). Like I said, I am very ignorant and just started to try and use weights and what-not. Any help would be fantastic.
Simple pre-workut meal question.
