Hello. I recently rejoined the gym. Everyone seems to do cardio first but I remember vaguely former trainer telling me that one should do weights before doing your cardio of the day. It makes sense, but i forget why. Is it for safety reasons? or is it more efficient in weight loss?
Thanks!
which one goes first?

Workout before cardio!
It is always good to do a warm-up cardio but your trainer is right on cardio after weight training. By doing weight before cardio you are using your food that has turn into glycogen for energy to build lean muscle to tone but your body, and then doing cardio when your body is depleted of of glycogen so it focus burning more fat. Burn more fat and not muscle or the food you just ate by doing weights first.
