weighed this a.m. - lost 2.4 lbs. this week!!! :P :P woo hoo!!

grand total of 8.3 lbs. lost in about 5 weeks.

I'm excited to see some real change. I have a "2 pack"!!
You go girl!! Congratulations! You ARE a success story - one we all treasure - and now you are seeing the result of all your hard work and determination - yeah!

shopping these days is confined to just a few areas of the store...I get tons of chicken and vegetables! Well I do buy yogurt and Live Active -Kefir and a few other things - but since eating healthy it's much easier :) It is more expensive though, but lately organic is about the same price as non-organic - so it's a no brainer of course!

I cannot find Yogurt that is Sugar FREE - what level of sugar do you (or anyone else) this is acceptable?

Thanks Lu!!! :D :D & same back to you too! You have always been an inspiration to me. One of the first people on here I noticed and admired was you - still is.

I bought a bunch of zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and salad greens, along with (I really splurged here....$3.98!) for 1 red, 1 orange, & 1 yellow bell pepper - that stuff is like gold! But can't wait to try steamer bags with them, yum!!

As far as the yogurt goes, I buy the Fage 0% FF greek strained plain yogurt (it tastes and feels the most like sour cream) - it has 7 g. sugar in it. All of the ones with fruit in them are gonna be high in sugar, its best just to add your own fruit. I only use yogurt as a topping or a spread, not really a dessert or sweet choice for me.

Today was not supposed to be a rest day - I had planned a 6 mile run (to give me 20 miles for the week) but I have been plagued with a headache most of the day, energy zapping it is. It's THAT time....ugh.

Hope tomorrow will be better. :D

Still struggling with this headache, lightheaded, tired feeling I've had all week. Can't figure out what is going on - it feels like more than just a "monthly" thing, it feels like I'm on the verge of being sick, just not quite. I feel low on energy, and head feels like I drank one too many or I have fever - but I haven't & I don't.
I took heartrate at different times throughout the day yesterday and each time it was at 49/50 beats a minute, BP was 119/67.
Going to try to run today, gotta do something, Im freaking out that I haven't run since Saturday! gaaahhhh! I'm falling behind in training - can't let that happen!

Is this head pain near your sinuses ? You might have a sinus infection, used to make me feel sickly.Mine thank god have gone away since they removed the mold from this house.

No, the pain is more like a vice slowly squeezing around head. Mold, eh? The building i work in has mold in different areas. It is an old building in need of lots of repair.

uh....do I know you? hahaha! just kidding - nice of you to stop by journal. I thought maybe Barbie had you chained up in your basement gym - and you've been held captive for months (willingly, of course  )

Feel better Lynn :) Have you reduced your caffeine intake? Sometimes that will give you a headache?

No, haven't really made any significant changes there. It may be an allergy thing. We are in full spring bloom around here - all the trees have buds on them, grass is growing like crazy - flowers everywhere - I've been sneezing alot too.

Todays workout:

4.5 miles treadmill run.
Timed 3 miles @ 27:39 had planned to stop there...but you know me..pushed ahead and finished 4.5 miles because that what was on schedule today to do. Felt good.

You might need to see a Doctor visa vie the Blood pressure.

119 is almost slap bang on the magical 120 for Systolic, but 67 is quite a way below the magical 80 for Diastolic, so seeing as the Diastolic reading represents the brief rest the heart takes, that would suggest you might be having a more prolonged Heart rest between beats, for some reason.

Maybe you're getting some delayed electrical stimulus to the heart or possibly from the Bundle Of His, the collection of fibres that stimulate Ventricular activity.

Check your BP again in the next 48 hours and if it's registering about the same, consider seeing a Doctor, because 49/50 BPM is not good either. Normal resting is typically around 72 BPM. and you're incurring Bradycardia, (50 BPM or lower), so definitely needs monitoring in honest opinion :).

that was for Iron Will. Didn't see these two posts above - thanks Bossman for the info - I will continue to monitor it. BR has been always been on the low side - usually in the low 100's and low 60's, resting heartrate is usually in the high 50's to 60, so 49 & 50 was causing me some concern, especially when i was getting that reading in the middle of the day at work, after being up and walking around working - not when just waking up or resting.

Thanks Bonnie, I was a bit worried having not run since Saturday. But legs and running are like an old friends - when they get together they just know what to do - which is one of the things I love most about running, it is the one thing I can do that makes me feel like me, comfortable, happy, at ease...like I'm at home. :D :D

I eat it at 1:30 meal, always seems like a treat with mega-protein, but anything with Chocolate.... Glad to hear your Love Affair with running is still alive and well. So cool when the fitness you do is enjoyable, and you don't dread doing it!!
