I've been working out with weights and cardio for over 3 years now. I'm 5' 7" and started out at 230 lbs. Now I'm at about 165.
As far as performance, I've seen big leaps in terms of how much I can lift in various exercises and how fast and long I can run without stopping. I can see some obvious muscle growth but the fat around it doesn't seem to go away.
I still have large clumps of fat under armpits and lower pecs (and they're (the flabs) connected. So gross!). I've lost a lot of fat elsewhere but that area doesn't look like it changed at all since I still weighed in at 230.
I work out 6 days a week. I do about 40 minutes of cardio every day with weight training. I change the exercises (whether it be reps, sets, and weight load combination, grip width, etc) every two weeks.
As far as diet goes, I do George-Foreman grill some 90% lean ground beef until it's practically dripless. I also eat tuna out of a can (in water, not oil), and some chicken breast. I bake mixed vegetables in the oven without any oil. So, it's a very low fat diet. I don't go out to eat. I drink plenty of water, minimum 8 glasses/day. I eat fist-sized portions 5x a day. I drink protein (50g in the morning after workout and 25g at night). Carbwise, I consume about 1/2 cup of white rice everyday, and sometimes substitute the rice with whole wheat bread or potatoes.
What am I doing wrong? I've tried to cut down on the exercises but that just made me gain some fat weight back, so I increased workload again.
I even tried Hydroxycut Hardcore and other similar products. Didn't do much for me except made me lack sleep, so I dropped those.
I'm extremely desperate to get this fat out of that area because it looks sucky and it's uncomfortable.
I truly hate to assume or accept that I'm gonna be fat no matter what because of genetics. What should I do BESIDES have surgery done? Any help would be appreciated.
Do you recommend Testosterone boosters/supplements? Maybe I don't have enough of it? Thanks again.

hopefully you can follow this:
http://broefitness.com/default.aspx?pageid=11
also may give up cardio for a couple of weeks which can actually make you fatter as you burn less cal's every time you do it as the body won't use any more than it absolutly has to...take up sprinting 2/week too

That was a very interesting article. I've seen many other sources recommend Fish/Flax oil and Omega-3. Those I never tried. I think I'll add those to shopping list.
Also, I do microwave plastic containers and eat off them! And I use Degree deodorant that probably has parabeans. Two practices that I do enough that they tell us to avoid. We'll see over the next 2 weeks what happens. I'll swich to Axe and not microwave stuff on plasticware.
I'm not sure about decreasing the cardio, though, although there was a time that I did about 1 1/2 hours of it every day and saw little to no effect.
Anyway, thank you so much for this article.
