I consider it processed also, for myself. In fact though I don't think when it comes to Canada food guide, it is.I just know dairy products make body retain fat, so I avoid it.

Lol...the publisher of the Canada food guide is the dairy farmers, also peddling milk.In fact I read yesterday that ALL mammals except humans, don't use milk past infancy.Humans continued to use it, forcing an enzyme mutation, for digestion. The lactose intolerant persons are actually the NORMAL people.

I can't see how it would be a gene mutation, as Breast Milk contains Lactose, which means the human body would have had have been capable of producing the Lactase enzyme for years.

Yep, humans always defy anything that doesn't suit their taste needs. Dairy tastes good, so they will say its good for you, when really it shouldn't exist past the age of 7 I think it said.

Found myself wondering after reading this article...who decided that animals were for eating ?...If we are all mammals why not eat humans to ? They are a protected species because they can TALK.

From what I could ascertain, it said Milk may cause issues with excessive consumption, (then so do most things), but one site that was linked to, said there was evidence that prehistoric man might have had better survival ability drinking Milk, compared to not drinking it.

However thequoted material, does link Milk consumption with lowered Diabetes risk, owing to the Palmitic Acid in it, so there's evidence to suggest good and bad things.

It will enevitably rumble on across the globe, a topic such as this, for many years more though I have no doubt.

Lately on our news there is a controversy of persons claiming " we have the RIGHT be able to eat/drink what we want " in regards to raw milk vs processed.I grew up on a farm, the milk came from the cow, there were no steps in between.I wasn't much of a milk drinker though, never have been.Unless it was chocolate & I had a hangover
